Alex Madsen a.k.a MAD-SIN was born in 1992 in the southwest border city of El Paso, Tx. From a young age he played the upright bass as well as the electric bass , also while studying a great deal of music theory. In early 2008 he began to start DJ'ing and producing electronic music. He experimented with many genres ranging from, Dubstep, Electro, Progressive House, Tech House, Hip-Hop, and many others. He honed his skills as a DJ all while continuing to develop his knowledge of music production and important technical aspects of production. In late 2010 after three years of much needed improvement of his skills MAD-SIN teamed up with his old friend Trent Shamaley a.k.a Downlow'd. This connection led to the creation of Macro Records as well as the electronic music duo Downlow'd + MAD-SIN. Within the first two years MAD-SIN released a plethora original EP's and singles with Downlow'd on such labels as; Macro Records (US), Brooklyn Fire (US), Hot Small Records (CLB), Noobish Records (LU), and many others. MAD-SIN has done remixes for Downlow’d, The Girls Can Hear Us!, and ZXX just to name a few. MAD-SIN currently focuses the main amount of his time on running his own label Macro Records which continues to grow into a hub for groundbreaking dance music.
