Allen writes and performs his own blend of Americana-folk-rock-soul, along with a dash of blues and 'non-twang country'. His music is influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Cockburn, Jackson Browne, James McMurtry, James Taylor, Van Morrison, & others. Allen played behind others in bands for years, before stepping up to the mic and developing a style and repertoire all his own.

I put up on SoundCloud a bit of everything-- clean, polished multi-tracked works, live recordings from gigs, out-ot-my-norm instrumentals, quick noisy demos and other works-in-progress--sometimes the same song in various iterations. Often I upload to facilitate exposure on Facebook via posting links to here on FB

I've also tossed in a couple of wacky answering machine OGMs I made for laughs.
