About

Allan Snowden started djing back in 2004, not long after seeing Sasha play the liquid room in Edinburgh he decided he wanted to be a dj and got himself a set of decks. Originally he played funky house stuff but soon started developing a passion for techno. Inspired by the likes of Dave Clarke, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Slam and the countless other djs and producers who were changing the sound of techno.

Allan then, along with two friends, started running a monthly night in Edinburgh called the fusion sessions, which played host to some of scotland’s best underground acts. He then ran co-ran another club night, Impact, which had some big names such as Mark Broom and Jon Carter. He is a current resident and promoter of Edinburgh techno night Evolve.

As for the production side of things, Allan’s debut EP ‘This Time’ was released in October 2011 on Brikbat Records and was soon followed up by his ‘Who Are We’ EP on Kan Records. Allan’s stripped down techno sound is what makes it his own, with heavy grooving basslines and funky, tribal percussion always a feature in his tracks. He has plenty of other projects lined up and the future is looking very bright for this young producer.
