Teva - Paris At Night EP

ALiVE 036 features sure footed label favourite, Teva, who recently evaded crisis in the Eurozone and returned safely to Blighty. But one night in Paris left our boy infected by a little oh la la, which was the inspiration behind this 'Paris At Night EP'.
There's plenty on offer in this release - 'Must I Go' and 'She's Playing (Version 2) have that classic warehouse rhythm, whilst Version 1 is a little more uplifting - with Teva putting his classically trained piano fingers to good use throughout. Early versions received a heavy road-testing from Sasha over the summer, from Ushuaia to Panorama Bar.
Lurking under a pile of old newspapers in a Bristol back alley is not your usual domicile for a couple of seasoned producers; but don't be put off by the smell or the toothless grins because the Waifs & Strays (Hot Creations, Futureboogie) can turn out a tune as good as any. Their '2 Drops of Acid' mix strips back the original and adds; well, two drops of acid with the precision of a pipette wielding professor.
