It was the 80's. I was about 12 and I saw this guy across the road mixing tunes for a New Year's Eve party. He had the music up loud. It was amazing, firecrackers, light show, everyone was in a festive mood. I remember Frankie Goes To Hollywood " Relax " was dropped and the whole street went mental. I think that was when the beats hit me - been collecting, sampling and looping music since then.
I love my house music. I'll play anything that I can fit into a house set. I still play the Kings's of Tomorrow "Finally" track with Julia McKnight's amazing vocal. My mind goes into overdrive to the sounds of the Swedish House Mafia. My greatest memories are playing sets for Sonique , Roger Sanchez, and a MOS DJ (can't remember his name LOL) , DJ Pierre (Norway) & Saul Bliss (UK). Meeting The Sugar Hill Gang was awe- inspiring!!! Seeing DJ's like Judge Jules, Boy George, The Klubbheads, Darren Emerson, Nick Warren and Carl Cox in pubs, clubs and hotels were the go back then. Yes there was time when festivals never existed. I've met and played with so many talented local DJ's in Perth.
Music is my tool for expression. I've been expressing this since 1997. Thank you Saul Bliss for giving me a break. Just realised I've been playing for over 15 years. I won't ever stop expressing - I never will.
Currently, holding a long 8 year DJ residency. Hopefully, I can contribute something worthwhile to this world. Got some tracks to share but still not satisfied. I don't think I ever will...
