How can one best explain the unique qualities of an instrument like the MELLOTRON? Like many other classic music machines, this one too has been ported over to software equivalent...MTRON, incorprating all the original sounds at a cost affordavle to those of us who, way back then, could do nothing more than drool and wish we could get our itchy fingers on the keys. This is my excursion into the zounds of that beastie. Also used here, the soft equivalent of the classic Synth-A (responsible for sounds and textures of Pink Floy's classic Dark Side abum. We've come a long way, perhaps, ubt the reality is that nothing much has changed...really, aside from the fact that the digital revolution and computers have brought us, is bringing u,s right back to the starting gate, as it were. Ah, but we're still running the gauntlet and, once you break on through to the other side, you'll discover still lot's more room for exploring old and new. Careful though...don't want to get hit by the drummers rhythm stick!
