Alice Hansen is a composer and violinist from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

@Anna Pidgorna: thanks for the lovely comments! the preparation was done with pyrex caps inserted between the strings. i found the objects in a chemistry lab. great stuff to work with -- it has that glassy sound without the risk of shattering from vibration.
