Growing up in Pakistan, my influences were classic and early 90's rock and hip-hop. I was always impressed with the ability of the artists to be able to stir genuine emotions and connect with audiences that spanned generations.

My first experience of electronic music was at a party when I was about 14 and I still vividly remember the impact that the music had on me when it first played through the speakers. It captured my imagination like nothing else ever had.
It was after moving to Canada at the age of 19 when I started to get involved with the club scene. This was when my belief in the power of music to break all barriers and unite people was reaffirmed. Since that point I have been obsessively collecting records with an eclectic mix of influences ranging from nu-disco and funk, to deep house to tech house. My taste in music has evolved over the years but what has stayed constant is the love for music that makes people dance and brings them together.

I’ve been djing for a about two years and in Nov of 2011 started "Groovecast." The idea was to be able to feature a variety of styles of electronic music with the underlying common theme being, sharing music that people can connect with and that makes them dance.
My plans for this year are to continue to expand my musical horizons, work on making more mixes for the "Groovecast" series, playing parties and sharing great music with people across the world.
