My first shot at making a "track" (if you could call it that). Played with some samples using FL8, and somehow the product reflected my gloomy mood. Maybe I'll work on this more in the future if I still feel like it. Comments are welcome :D but no hating please, take it easy. lol :))

If this is your very first stab at production, then you should definitely keep at it. This piece shows a great deal of potential. You've already got a pretty good ear for what goes where; it sounds like you just need to work on some of the more tedious technical aspects of electronic music production (i.e., compressors, eq, all that business). For this song, since it's minimal, my only recommendation would be that you beef up the sub a little bit (either through compression or layering, not by just raising the track volume) and then apply a high-end cutting filter that will eliminate frequencies above 100k. Definitely keep making music! :-)

Personally I like it, great arrangement, mood & sample choices.... keep it up! With regards to the tech side of things - you can always get technical later as a mastering studio can sort that end out until you get skilled in that area (: 'have a great day Aliana'

You definitely need a sub bass in there to balance out the frequencies. Good first try, keep on going and persist and you will get better = )

Nice introduction of shakers, maybe a bit of reverb will help give it more space.

You could be playing around with the variation of the kicks and claps at this point. Take out a kick or two and add more fast claps
