About
Meet Alex Sandrino, a dj/producer from the Netherlands who is known for his “out of the box” sound in the world of techno. Since his first release in 2009 on the famous Dirty Dutch Records, Alex has been locked up in the studio and only left his domain to smash up crowds with his unique techno groove. While growing up as an energetic young rebel, he started to play the guitar and drums at the age of eight and as he got older, he taught himself to play the piano and followed his passion as he continued to learn everything there is about DJing, music technology and sound development.
After his Drums E.P (Beating Music, 2010) had received huge support by many upfront dj’s such as 123XYZ, Alex Kenji, Filthy Rich and many more, it was his third release that really helped him to push his music career to the next level. The Brazilian Girls EP (Beating Music, 2011) in collaboration with Columbian top producer “Milton Channels”, was released through his own label “Beating Music” and received instant support from dj’s like Ant Brooks, Dj PP and Roger Sanchez.. During the summer in 2011, Matteo DiMarr signed his record: “OK” to his label: “MAR186”, and released it with two amazing remixes (by Joee Cons and Matteo DiMarr). At this time it became obvious that his sound, moving bass lines, rolling beats, dark vibes and bumping techno grooves was building up a steady foundation outside the Dutch borders. The story continues in April 2012, when “The Beginning” and “The End”, were signed to the legendary Stealth Records (led by Roger Sanchez) for its upcoming 2012 mix compilation cd and Alex got the opportunity to do a guestmix for Roger Sanchez on his “Release Yourself” radio show.
While his music find its way to the clubs worldwide, his dj sets are also turning venues upside down. Since he played his very first gig at the biggest hotspot in Amsterdam, the Heineken Music Hall, Alex has been playing nonstop. In 2011 he claimed his residency at a Dutch organization: ”De Weerwolven”, where he is known for playing long and energetic sets.
“The real Alex Sandrino sound is techno, but also contains elements from other genres, so don’t expect me to just sit in a little corner with my eyes closed and not listen to any other kind of music”, Alex’s answer when asked what his new album will sound like…
Currently Alex is working on his first album which should be ready summer 2012…
