Since I was born I‘ve been a music lover, from rock, to classical, to electro, to everything.
At first, I was involved with trance the most, looking for melodic virtuosities and emotional vibes. I early started to make trance and techno attempts around 2001, using Codemaster’s Music for psx, then I spent a few years playing guitar in a local rock band, writing and composing songs.
Finally I found my identity with dubstep, approaching to it as a producer in 2010 (thanks to FL studio). At first it was just an unpretentious game for me, I started to take it seriously on the summer of the following year, after my first official release.
The ‘Alex Maynard’s project’ itself aims to be a sort of tribute to the singer Maynard James Keenan, who’s actually the frontman of ‘A Perfect Circle’, ‘Tool’ and ‘Puscifer’ bands. He’s definitely the person who inspired me the most, both as an artist as human.
My musical style is strongly influenced by artists like Kezwik, Zimo, Savant, Xilent, Seven Lions, Xkore, Au5.
