Alex loves to make people happy. He's not gonna help you rub one out or come do your laundry, but he will make you shake your butt and throw your arms up on the dance floor. An eclectic lover of music, Alex likes to bring together Indie Dance, Nu Disco, Tech House, and any booty shaking music he can find. He is agnostic to the categorization of a song, but compelled by the feeling that it produces.

Receiving his first set of turntables as a college graduation gift due to his love for electronic dance music, Alex taught himself how to match beats and arrange a set to the 4/4 beat of beloved house music. Though not until he had sufficiently cultivated his skills, he eventually left his bedroom and sought out any chance he could to play for a crowd, he simply desired to share his passion for this music with others.

Eventually given residencies for both indie dance parties Pop-tronica and Noise at Beta Nightclub in Denver, Alex was given a chance to connect with an amazing group of hipsters whose energy fed directly into his many sets on the Funktion One flagship sound system; an opportunity he has always held close to his heart. In 2009, Alex moved to Los Angeles, and soon after was able to play gigs on the Vanguard Nightclub patio for Giant. This lead to many opening and closing spots in the main rooms of both Vanguard and Avalon.

No matter the size or diversity of the crowd, dimensions of the venue, context of the event, or the politics involved, Alex simply will play music that people enjoy.
