Alexandre Gérard was born in 1970 in Le Raincy, in France.
As a young guitarist he was taught by several masters,
André Simony (*the very good teacher when he was young), José-Maria Sierra-Fortuny (+), Ramon de Herrera, Alexandre Lagoya (+), Alberto Ponce, Yehuda Schryer and Wilhelm Bruck.
He worked on Gregorian chant with Louis-Marie Vigne,
in Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP).
His passion for science, maths, music and sound exploration
led him into recording techniques, mixing, mastering.
He works these disciplines as an autodidact.
Today he teaches guitar classe
in Odéon-Conservatoire in Tremblay-en-France, in France.
He graduated :
❖ from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) (guitar 1er award unanimously)
❖ from Conservatoire National de Région de Paris, (guitar gold medal)
❖ from Ecole Nationale de Musique, Danse et Arts Dramatiques of Val Maubuée (guitar gold medal, music chamber gold medal and guitar award of excellence)
He won a few contests :
❖ 1st award of Ile de France guitar contest
❖ 1st award unanimously and prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary work of the chamber music contest of Torcy
❖ laureate of the International “André Segovia” de Palma de Mallorca guitar contest in Spain
❖ Self-elected best guitarist in his building until the end of the second millenium
