This is a lot busier than the original and it might be interesting for you to upload the original for people to contrast and compare. Maybe I was too influenced by the original version but I thought that the driving bass and four to the floor feel was it's strength. Some of the effects and extra samples seem to detract a little from it. However I get where you are coming from with the general 80s feel for this.
Good points:
1) Intro synths are PHAT
2) Cool backing vocals
Last comment, have you tried this remix but with no effects on the vocals? Just dry simple vocals with all the craziness in the background.
Maybe cut the guitars here, too much going on...
