DJ Producer Alen Bajd
He was born in Dubrovnik 1971. What I thought that I would do with my life, that's
what I accomplished. Is not that genius? (Statement of one of the music magazine).
There are few who have managed to create own life as it was intended, however,
it did Alen's in the full sense of the word. Music has earned his first real money
and still live off music, DJ-ING and production. Allen is not just a DJ but is a
complete music enthusiast familiar with virtually all production from the 80s, 90s
and so today's music. Simply, a walking encyclopedia of the music. It all began in
1985 sitting in front of a building in the place where he lived then discussing the
bands he listened while his peers at that time listened to Heavy Metal and Hard Rock
Alen was already recognizing big names in music, such as Depeche Mode, The Human League,
Kraftwerk and others of that era. It was not the beginning of its creation of electronic
music, but a good guideline to choosing a musical direction that would henceforth and
opened many doors for the music industry. Few years after the war in Croatia began
exploring with programs geared to produce music. The first attempts were difficult
but not unsuccessful. The first electronic track he created with his friend and
colleague Milan Ratković (Audiometric) in his room and it was a real discovery because
it was done with the help of technology (playstation) haha, unbelievable but true.
In 2007 he gathered young producers from Dubrovnik to create first volume
Electronic Music Souvenire ( I-2007, II- 2008 , III- 2009 , IV-2010 )
compilation of talented Dubrovnik producers . Since 1998 Alen is working at
local radio stations in Dubrovnik and become a celebrity because of his radio
show about electronic music ''LINE UP'' http://www.clubpages.org/lineup/ .
In 2006 he licenced a new festival of House Music ''Jusker'' in Dubrovnik,
Croatia. Festival is created as a dj competition for all new DJ's & Producers
from Balkan region. Alen is a real partygoer and music charmer, where some of
the world famous and rich people could not resist to his music, like fashion
designers Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Celebrities Tom Cruise , Johnny Knoxville,
Roman Abramovich, Matt Groening...
Today, Allen has a sophisticated modern studio designed exclusively for the creation
of electronic music. The instruments he plays are: keyboards, guitar, bass, drums.
Knowing them helps in the creation of new sounds that are used in production.
Programs without which I could not do as he says are : Mixcraft, T-Racks S3, Magix,
Adobe Audition, Nuendo, Reason. He has performed as a DJ everywhere, called from
people he met in Europe and here is a few names with which he shared the DJ decks
in the last couple of years - Freemasons, Gramophonedzie, Kaiserdisco, Stereo MC's,
Cristian Varela; Blacksoul, Rob Owens, Tom Novy, Fedde Le Grand , Mark Knight,
Lissat & Voltaxx, Dr. Kucho, Umek, Lottie, Ryan Shaw, Ian Pooley, Ralvero.
