Alexandre Tavares is the name behind the artist Alektronick aka Dirty Plastic Underground, that was born in Coimbra, Portugal,
in the 80s, in the middle of a family where everybody seems to have an artistic vein, what was determinant to become to the person that is today.
Since ever he remembers to hear his father playng guitar to his mother like a serenade, while she was cooking. The intervention portuguese music, where
Zeca Afonso was the main influence, were probably the first sounds that Alexandre captured, unconsciously, and even today continue to influence the way
how the artist produce his music. Also his grand-father, Alvaro Rafael, with brasilian origins, multi-instrumentist, and one of the best portuguese
accordeonists
, passed to him very important values, in what refers to the way that how music must be felt .
While an rebellious adolescence , starts to have contact with underground music, trough the hand of his best friend.
Together they start to attend the portuguese electronic dance scene and to feel that there was something more than going out at night. In the beggining
the most impressive thing for them was the positive energie in this kind of venues .

During the age of 16 he met Carlos Braga, one DJ from the same city that was also a begginer in Deejaying, this guy opened the doors to a new
world for Alexandre,
showing him how to mix many tracks (vinyl) and create new sounds with them, keeping the people dancing and smiling during this complex action.

Completely motivated and passionated he built up his first home studio and starts to practice for hours every day. Quickly arised invitation of
small local promoters
and in 2003 he becomes a professional DJ. He played all over the country, with those who are today the major DJs
in Portugal.

At first what really drew the attention of those who heard him was his music selection and his inexistent music style which still has.
Never connected to only one musical style, but always or almost always with the electronica as a base.
The interaction with the audience and the excitement that goes on stage and play all his themes,is something that makes Alektronick
an artist unique.

Not conformed to the quality of the events which had their performances, due to the fcto always follow the same musical line and hardly ever
bring something new or creative, founded in 2007 Speakeasy Productions, his own event production and talent agency.

He began by producing small events where different styles of fused urban underground music, providing DJs, Live DJs or live bands in these line ups. Always
in the struggle for creative evolution of his work, creates a concept of entertainment and awareness, producing Mostrarte Festival.
The event brought together an agreeable
week-end of summer a lot of people who gathered in a nature reserve paradise of storks (the biggest in Europe) for together
enjoy a plethora of activities, recreational and artistic, including: Concerts, djsets, live performances, exhibitions of painting, sculpture,
photography, crafts, drama workshop, projection of documentaries, workshops, fair trade fair, diffusion of books and writers
Yoga, vegetarian cooking and other activities.This event was held in partnership with an public organization and the local media
, and due to its huge success was repeated the following year, where internationalized, inviting artists from Brazil, South Africa, Mozambique and
Italy, and also some of the best national artists, including the team of artists from Speakeasy Productions.

Among the most famous productions include: "From the Speakers with Love !!!", the album's release of Mc Ruze" 1440 minute a minute, "Mostrarte Festival"
"Speakeasy Festival" and "Beat on Boat." In 2007 also begins a new phase of his life, that clearly changed their way of seeing things, Alexandre leaves
Portugal and goes looking for new experiences and opurtunities. two great passions born: travels and the musical production.

Settling in a medieval village in southern France, Montlaur, surrounded by the mountains of the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava that descends until Barcelona,
here he finds a place of reflection and multi-culturalism, which gave to him inspiration for his first work as a music producer .Produces "Digital Nature"
an non released album where the avant-garde electronic music mixes with the Occitan language also called Occitan, langue d'oc, Occitan or Provençal
is a Romanic language spoken in southern France (south of the Loire river), and in some Alpine valleys in Italy and Val d'Aran in Spain. Invites Jack
Gartside a young boy with Irish roots, who shares with him a passion for music, to perform "El Galino", a subject taught in schools
primaries in this region. The album was distributed in Portugal and France.

In 2009 returns to Portugal and develops beetween deejayng two other projects : Cultural and artistic programming of an turistic complex and a radio show.
The first was to organize and plan cultural line up, which was based on the dynamization of the place and the city during the summer time .he invited
Portuguese and foreign artists to participate in this project and collaborated with other cultural organizations in support of it.
The second
arose from a proposal to create a radio program on Radio Cardal, which was issued every Friday, from midnight to two am, and where
Alektronick publicized the news of advanced electronic music and where also he didnt followed a music style, leaving the disposition of the content author
programmatic. Also published important events and activities related to arts, culture and environment. This program was called "Artes sob Escuta
"and undoubtedly was a very rewarding experience for Alektronick own.From then he never stopped traveling and now spends more
time outside Portugal than in their country of origin, whether playing at festivals, working as a restorer of medieval houses, producing music
with other artists, or simply to feed his addiction to knowledge of the world where he lives. In these last three years he went to countries such as Spain,
France, Britain, Poland, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Holland, Estonia, Latvia, Switzerland and Slovakia, making
always through which passes an array of knowledge and friendships that prefers to call family.

The year 2010 was the key year for the artistic growth of Alektronick in the international level. Right at the start of the year was invited by the record label
Japanese/Portuguese, Mimi Records, to edit the EP "Birds", consisting of four quite different themes and that the ambient sound, minimal, bossa-nova,
trip-hop and drum and bass.The album was released on April 25 this year and after about four months the artist receives news that his work had beaten all records of
history of publishing, they've released over 140 albums, having been acquired by its approximately 50,000 people in so short time.Was rapidly
asked to edit another work by Mimi, and currently working on this album "Travel Guide" and the compilation "Fuck me, I am Happy." The first and
longer just a dream come true, Alektronick introduced his alter-ego/performance "Dirty Plastic Underground" where is influenced on its travels, cities,
cultures and people you knows to create an album in his image along with a multimedia performance. The second is the recognition of his roots and is about
to release a compilation of emerging artists and some of them
already with a fairly extensive background, in an album where all the musicians have something in common: being Portuguese.

Also in 2010, part way through the Balkans and along with a group of French, Portuguese, Russians, Estonians, Macedonians, Swedes, Czechs, Poles and others volunteers ,
organized in the city of Skopje, Macedonia, the "Faces Without Masks, an international theater festival, with companies from Serbia,
Macedonia, Croatia, Slovakia, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania and Austria, where he also had his first experience as an actor, playing,
with an experimental vision, the work of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", which they named "Revolution, Evolution, Revolution".

After this experience followed a tour through the Baltic States where he played in some festivals, featuring his performance " Progressive Karma Sessions Vol.2"
and where he had the chance to play and meet some of the best artists Norse and Suomi.

For 3 years Alektronick maintains a partnership with Fidelity Skateboards / Fidel Shoes brand, which supports all of its projects.

Audio Engineering, is the latest novelty in the curriculum of Alexander, since it is currently being formed at a distance in one of the best schools of
United States of America.

At this time also prepares a unique multimedia performance for the live presentation of her album Travel Guide, which will add music, animation video
and theater in a concept where Dirty Plastic Underground promises something very experimental and avant-garde:) surprise surprise
