Alek Stark is from Madrid, yeah!, the city of the best football team of the XX century according to the FIFA and of course the city where is living Almodovar, Javier Bardem and was living Cervantes and, yes, Tino Casal!... anyway Alek is today one of the indisputable pioneers of the electro scene in Spain.
Alek start his relation with the electro music as b.boy, breakin´ the streets of the downtown of Madrid in 1983, hey! he is a good dancer already!! but he is best known by his releases on Disko B, Transient Force, Last Known Trajectory, Original Street Techno, etc., also by his remixes for Arthur Baker, Newcleus, Punx Sound Check/Marc Almond, Honk Kong Counterfeit, Esplendor Geométrico, AndresAndreas, Catherine Vatine... Iron Maiden! You listened to his works in sets of I-F, Dave Clarke, John Peel, Miss Kittin, Electric Indigo, David Carreta, Micronauts, Mick Willis, Tiga...
Some years ago he founded the first spanish electro label Star Whores Records, home for the artist such as Dark Vektor, Alex Under, Neonwerk, Robert Calvin, Boris Divider, Dj Split, Sace 2 amongst others. Some of these releases are hard to find collector items today, especially the picture disc "double A side" limited to 690 copies feat. Robert Calvin, Citizen/GD Luxxe/Alek Stark and the very hard to find classic 12" of Esplendor Geométrico-Moscú Está Helado.
Alek Stark is playing around the world burning his huge record collection, one of the best old school electro collection of the world, and of course his live-show playing with his vocoder as the best weapon to melt the dance floor!
