Here is the original demo that I made for the song "Rally". The song made it onto my debut album "Nothing Out Loud" (2009). The transformation from raw (yet persistent) idea to demo to finished studio recording is an adventure I will document in my next blog post.

Perhaps Elvis Costello's "Armed Forces", which is all about love as war, was a bigger influence than I remember.

I miss my electric guitar! A beautiful yellow and black telecaster. Had to sell it before we moved to Michigan. But it lives on here...
