After work on Wednesday, I walked down to Plaza "Tahrir" Catalunya in Barcelona and as I walked through the various assemblies, talks and musicians, I heard this call rise in the crowd and I realised it was 9pm, time for the cacerolada. In seconds, everyone got out their pots and pans and started knocking in an incredible display of random sound. Next day people were doing it on every street I walked on, on the way home from work as well.
