Alcane (aka Stuart Chalmers) is a Glasgow based DJ/Producer who has been involved in the Drum & Bass scene in Scotland since 1998.
Specialising in dark, deep soundscapes with a nod to jungle, techno & dubstep, Alcane's DJ sets are eclectic & heavy hitting, but include something to please everyone.
In recent years his production has also has begun to get noticed, with one of his earlier tracks 'Hash' featuring on the Canadian imprint Make:Shift Records album 'Bassbored'. This LP is available digitally from the label's website: DOWNLOAD
Currently he fills his time with residencies at Symbiosis (@ The Soundhaus, Glasgow) and Split (@ Cabaret Volitaire, Edinburgh) as well as his weekly radio slot, Tuesdays 8pm-10pm GMT on Dark Wax Radio, home of the best in the deep & dark Drum & Bass: TUNE IN
