Imagine Al Calavicci as John Rambo (In Rambo 1 of Course) but much skinnier and without an Italian-American Accent and a penchant for killing things. He's a drifter, but rather than drifting from town to town he tends to drift from style to style, ever in the background of different scenes but never really joining in with it all. Years ago he used to co-run the successful West-Country Nu Skool Breaks event 'Subsonic' alongside DJ Sharman and was often found playing support sets to such heavyweights as Rennie Pilgrem, Dreadzone & Aquasky. Then after a while he got bored and said No! to Breaks and began to play House, Minimal and the many subgenres of House & Techno.

After this decision AC set up his own imprint Falk Recordings with a view to putting out House, Dub House, Deep Disco and Techno that was at least nodding its head to less dancefloor based musical forms. Although in its infancy Falk Recordings has garnered support from artists such as Moodymanc, King Roc, Alex Flitsch, ED2000, Sneaky, Dave Mothersole, Solomun and many more (as have his own releases and remixes). With something resembling an album dropping in 2010 we can look forward to more shoegazeing percussive, housey miserablism from Mr. Calavicci.
