I like the song but I would question the mixing and mastering that is squashing the dynamics and pushing the frequencies in an area not so pleasant for the ear. I'm missing the point for the criteria behind the choice.

This passage with emphasis on bass gave a special flavor to this beautiful song. I loved the harmony as bassist. Congrats.
