About
I first dabbled in home recording over 20 years ago, using a Fostex X-26 multi-track recorder. I recorded around 50 songs of varying quality. For some reason the muse left me some time around 1992, and I have only recently begun to dabble again.
These days I am using the Lexicon Alpha mixer, and the accompanying Cubase LE 4 software on a temperamental Windows Vista desktop PC.
I have recently bought a Fender Telecaster and a Boss ME-25 multi-effects box. My other guitars include a Dean acoustic, Eastcoast classical and a Squier P-Bass.
My keyboard is a 20-year old Yamaha PSR-
500, and my drumming comes from another machine of over 20 years vintage, the Yamaha DD-11. I prefer to do my own drumming rather than use the built-in rhythms.
My old recordings included vocals, but only served to show up the limitations of my singing voice. Those limitations, coupled with my lack of inspiration for lyrics, mean that I am concentrating on instrumentals at the moment.
I hope you enjoy listening to my attempts at musical creativity :)
