Following rave reviews for their newly released debut album Open House, Driver Drive Faster
are set to release They May Talk as a single, backed by another album standout, Don’t Fall Apart on Akoustik Anarkhy Recordings.

A song that shifts from downbeat verse to white-boy funk chorus, lead track They May Talk is
a song borne of boredom, written after a conversation singer/guitarist Dylan Giles had with a
colleague at a mind-numbing office job. “He was lamenting that he started straight from school as
a quick fix, and then got stuck there for 25 years processing data,” says Dylan. “It’s that mixture of
responsibilities and excuses that prevent you making a fresh start.”

If the first track is grounded in grim reality, the optimistic, other-worldy Don’t Fall Apart is pure
fantasy. “It’s an imaginary zombie Frankenstein style scenario in which a promoter is digging up
dead celebrities, making them into robots and sending them out on a music hall tour,” says Dylan.
“It’s a success, then it starts to go all wrong, but he consoles himself it will be OK.”
