    This is a collection of clips from more or less well known material to show what loudness normalization actually achieves.

    Each clip is loudness normalized to -18 LUFS , which is 5 dB higher than the broadcast standard for television, which is most often around -23 LUFS.

    The peak overview in Soundcloud is ABSOLUTELY false in what it depicts, which is ok since that isn't its job. A peak overview of the -23LUFS version can be seen here:

    Material ranges from a piece of Metallicas Death Magnetic to Norah Jones "Come Away With Me". This is for edcucational purposes to illustrate loudness normalization of complete mixes.
