Andrés Zacco founded GREENER RECORDS in January 2008. The label was created with the simple purpose of bringing together Andrésʼ close circle of fellow artists who share a similar style and vision in Techno music. Thatʼs exactly what this label compilation is about.
While the Greener 12” records are released only and exclusively on vinyl, our label inaugurates a new direction for its digital series, with an agenda oriented purely at music for home listening and the mind.
The ʻLandscapes Of The Futureʼ project gathers some spotless ambient and dub works from some of Argentina's most talented and recognized producers. Also present on this compilation as a special guest is our Polish friend JACEK SIENKIEWICZ, head of the now legendary Recognition label.
Argentina's long-serving Techno producers get the opening and closing honors on this compilation. While GUSTAVO LAMAS begins the audio-therapy with ʻMasʼ, crackling theme to a quiet solar wind spectacle, LEONEL CASTILLO brings it to a closure with the dubstep sequencing and filter brushes on ʻDomingo Soleadoʼ, offering hopeful horizons to the listener. Gustavo is known for releasing his work on Kompakt and Traum since the end of the ʻ90s, and Leonelʼs music has become very sought after, getting only occasionally released on carefully picked labels outside of his own Groovear imprint.
Second on the tracklist, is Greener kingpin ANDRÉS ZACCO with ʻLandingʼ, a niggling number depicting the journey of a safety capsule, rocketing outside of a burning planet. Next up is SANDOVAL, who produces stunning ambient pieces, sharing them only with his Buenos Aires entourage.
Recent Berlin transplant, of Vakant renown, NICO PURMAN creates a highly sensitive comfort zone using his own field recordings, transposing the calm of a new found home into this music. A sense of balance altered by FRANCO CINELLIʼs ʻLandscapes Of The Futureʼ and JACEK SIENKIEWICZʼs ʻFrkʼ where rotating blades and propelling basslines make for the accurate sights of worrisome landscapes.
JONAS KOPPʼs music has been popping up on notorious labels recently, such as Ostgut Ton, Spectral Sound or Curle. He presents here “Cloned Krishna”, soundtrack to a toxic walk through a bioroid production factory. JEREMY FLAGELO owns one of the most impressive collections of hardware in Argentina. He uses here an ARP Odyssey MK3 to create a slowly evolving magnetic piece.
