Wow! Super solid mix. Great track selections and buttery smooth transitions. Seamless! Best mix I've heard so far this year.
Those repeated flutterings every fours don't sound quite right. I'm not sure if it's because it is dropping the volume suddenly or because it *sounds* like an effect (as opposed to sounding like it *should* be there). You said you wanted some feedback so I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I do really like your work.
The Swoosh here sound like it crescendos just a tad late/weakly. Am I wrong or were you trying to keep it going until the vocals came in?
HOLY CRAP, Wes! These vocals over Levels are GREAT!!! :)
Haha! Nice track!
This is VERY good. One of my two favorite remixes and I think I've heard about a hundred by now. Your other stuff is pretty good too. You've gained a follower in me.
This was a natural song to follow. Good selection.
That sounds bad.
Amendment to my previous statement. zombies doesn't have the same tones as C'mon. It was the volume shock of that part of Zombies. Should have been a little quieter, imo.
@agentdandan: AH! There it is. This is what I thought was the mistake. When you drop in Zombies. It sounded really jarring. I thought you meant to slide it in a little more smoothly. Again, the same problem I meantioned earlier with dropping in a song at near-full-volume when the tones don't overlap well. Do you hear what I'm saying?
You had a little too long of a pause there. It meant people stopped dancing. I have speculated about pauses before (namely that they stop people from dancing) and I know they can be good but this time I SAW people stop dancing.
Another good one, dude.
Maybe it was here, where I thought you had messed up. It was just because he started to say the T in "time" before you cut it off.
Yes, Very well done.
See, right there, I would have not started the blend into Take Control yet because the previous track had really similar sounding mids so when they overlayed just after the drop, it sounded bad. If you would have waited maybe 4 beats later, it might have sounded a little better. Do you hear what I mean?
What a fun transition!!!!! :-P
@gumbyy: Gumby, you pretty much the same exact comment about re-living shit in your comment on CJ's Carlotta mix. Just because CJ re-uses tracks doesn't mean you can re-use comments! &rt;:l
Really good transition. Songs blended well. Did you have song selection planned out beforehand?
A little discordant there. I think it was because of the high-pitched tones overlaying badly.
Your overlay is great on this track. Two very different feels on the orignal but a fantastic emotional blend of the two together. I was dancing in my seat at the café to this one!
This section is VERY good. The beat overlay and slow-down are perfect.
But I don't like when "SKELETON!" comes in right here.
I re-listened. I like the bass overlay here.
Fantastic.
Trés bien fait! superb. Putain, c'est magnifique!
