MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC:
Jazz Funk, Soul, Reggae, Disco, Hip Hop, Rare Groove, Deep, Latin, Afro House music are where most of my musical influences lie...

I began playing records on pirate radio station n local parties from my early teens under the name Emelle, playing mostly hip hop n house and soul music and continued playing mostly US House, also releasing a few tracks on Back to Basics, Afrocat and Departure Lounge labels in 90s with my pals as Chromatone Express.

Continued writing and playing at parties in London until recently moving back to my hometown of Leeds, where myself and Euan Mitchell, Sy Legg, Dean Creole and Jagga (VSP) (as well as It Is What It Is, Uno House Downtown Calling + Nest) have been putting on Afro Coalition parties, reinvigorating an interest in Deep and Soulful house in and around the Leeds area.

Afro Co. parties to date include Chicago Music Supremo: PEVEN EVERETT at "The Wardrobe", Bank Holiday parties at DISTRIKT with the likes of ATJAZZ and OMAR plus rocking the back rooms for FILTH'S KERRI CHANDLER party at "The Warehouse" and BACK TO BASICS and most recently KARIZMA + ATJAZZ back at The Wardrobe to celebrate our first birthday.

2012 is shaping up nicely, with Afro Coalition playing the back rooms at; DJ Sneak for Technique/Asylum at The Faversham Garden Party, The Lovebirds at The Garage for It Is What It Is and Grand Master Flash at The Warehouse.
