Affen (Anatomy For Fabulous Emergency Noise) is an experimental project that’s originated from Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. They are Hariz (Acoustic Guitar, Lead Vocal), Babam (Guitar, Vocal), Elmo (Guitar, Vocal), Ifsan (Bass), Hari (Drums) Ebong (Cello) . This project stems from a desire to exploit its full potential in from the musicality potential of each personnel. Started from a regular meeting of Hariz, Babam and Elmo during events at Beat n Bite Cafe, this project was then formed. After finalizing the concept, they invited Ifsan to fill the bass position and later Hari, on drums and on the mean time Ebong the Cellist from Band Called Nadafiksi interested to join with Affen , because of his own passion for post-rock music.

Affen doesn’t pick any particular theme for their music genre. For Affen, music is work of real freedom, a freedom to express one’s self. Affen’s music was appointed as a universal language, where there is a fusion of many genres as a symbol. In terms of writing the lyrics, Affen pick up life as the outline of their song’s material. Arranged from musicians of various genres and backgrounds, Affen expects the lyrics and the music to be easy to digest and accepted by different range of age. Through Affen, we hope to provide a new color in the world of Indonesian music scene that can be enjoyed by various people.
