Aeternum Vale were formed in the Winter of 2011 in Dublin, Ireland by Dave Gibson, Colin Byrne, Owen Ryan Hanbury and Dave ”Tipper” McCarron. Blending a mixture of black, doom and death metal, the band put in months of hard graft in the practice studio, writing songs which would appear on the 2012 limited edition EP “Farewell Forever”. The EP was met with positive reviews and the band supported its release with gigs across the country. That culminated with a slot on the Cork Winterfest Metal Festival where the band played with Irish black metal legends Primordial and Greek luminaries Rotting Christ.
The band spent much of 2013 in the studio writing songs for a debut album release. There were occasional gigs in Carnage metal club and a performance at the Black Metal Assault festival where the band played with Necro Ritual and Scutum Crux. In August, the band entered Track Mix studio to record eight songs for what would become 'Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges', the band’s first album.
The songs were recorded live so that they didn’t lose the energy, aggressiveness and hatred with which they were written. Two tracks were released to Soundcloud as a preview of what was to come. They were greeted with great acclaim. The official release date of the album is November 23rd
