On the 3rd Advent we move a little away from dance music. There hasn’t been so much dance on Adrian Recordings during 2011 and to melt together Adrian’s 2011 we couldn’t think of anyone better than the musical storyteller Hans Appelqvist. Hans explores the concept of mixtapes and uses Edda Magnason’s piano playing as a shrine where he pulls up jewelry in forms of different tracks, puts them down again and lets us enjoy the shrine and then brings up another diamond.

Hans Appelqvist did a haunting remix of This Is Head’s 0007 during the year that we released on vinyl. He has also recently released a new album - Sjunga slutet nu (Sing the end now) - to critical acclaim.
In the mixtape you’ll also find some surprises that we have to get back on.
