About

Adrian Martin Bio:
At the end of the 1990’s Adrian Martin was a regular party youngster
enjoying the pulsating and driving beats of the electronic world at
parties and clubs in his native Switzerland. Clearly not aware he would
become an emerging talent of that scene, Adrian soon become friends with
local DJ’s discovering his talent and joy spinning the wheels himself.
What all started out of fun turned into never ending appetite for more.
After two years of hard practicing Adrian first gained recognition
teaming up with DUSMO, a platform for young and DJ’s and producers of
his native city Basel. But it took him two more years until his first
own music production would see the light of day. *My Friend* a
co-production with DJ friend Santiago became an instant hit at clubs all
around the world. Earning him a release license on Roger Sanchez
*Release Yourself Compilation Vol. 5* and the MAP Dance Records label.
Capturing this success Adrian releases his first remixes for other
artists *Doruk Ozlen feat. Trollan – Do you feel me* and *Take action*
by *Liebe ist cool*, though becoming a resident DJ at the Pazzoide party
label around that same period. Somehow Adrian’s music has a magical even
magnetic effect on people. Tim Sheridan, for instance, while playing in
Basel signed him instantly to his VERYVERYWRONGINDEED label for two
releases after hearing his track *Norka*. The two double A-Side releases
*Norka & Fullness* & *Way in & Way out* are the child born out of this
collaboration. Co-produced with longtime friend Eleminal, Adrian recalls
this birth as one of his proudest moments so far. As his skills are
developing Adrian’s interest in the music industry is expanding and
incorporates into MINILOAD Records. Acting as A&R for the record label
Adrian simply follows his instincts and has signed some musical
revelations such as HIGUCHI, Doppelt Gemoppelt, Rhadow & Luca M and his
kind and friendly soul has led into winning collaborations with Stefan
Mallmann, Normen Hood, Jens Bond, Pedersen aka Kid Massive and Stefan
Tretau just to name a few. To release his own productions and
collaborations on MINILOAD Records gives Adrian artistic control and
freedom to experiment. Direction and style of production have changed
since his early days. Starting in a more house oriented style, swapping
into minimal-tech and now riding on his own directional mix, Adrian
Martin has always kept a rough approach on his own tracks and remixes.
Have a listen to the early *My Friend* and ride from *Norka* to his
tekouse remix for Grammy winning artist Fatman Scoop’s *Let’s have a
good time*. Or experience his latest coup an interpretation of José Mas’
*Incredible Music*, which has gained him strong interest from
established names like Loco Dice and Danny Tenaglia, and recent
productions such as *Two Weeks* and *La Calma*. His sound is addictive.
Growing as sought-after remixer and collaboration partner Adrian Martin
has come a long way. As 2011 just started Adrian Martin is expecting to
see his first release on Benno Blome’s Berlin based SenZen and has done
a remix for Tom Clark & Martin Eyerer collaboration track *Sooner or
Later*, to be released on Miniload Records this spring. He is also
enjoying a residency at one of Switzerland's most exciting venues
NORDSTERN in Basel. A place enabling him to be and keep in touch with
the audience. Let’s wait and hear what’s next on our music player and
turntables from Adrian Martin……..
