Driven by pulsating beats and trashy grooves, Adrian Martin spends most of the late 90’s in warehouses, cellars or any other venue to his beloved illegal raves which allowed him to consume the music he was beginning to develop a craving for. Soon enough, the inevitable happened and Adrian became completely addicted, especially to the minimal approach taken to the grooves, leading him to find a new passion: decks. The daily stop at the record shop suddenly becomes a must. His musical preferences widely range from deep and vocal house right though to the more edgy tech and progressive kind, more often than not with a slight minimal undertone. Adrian’s musical diversity is felt right from the word “go” resulting in quickly becoming a sought after DJ which allows him to start building contacts within the scene. Meeting his current producer, Umberto Cea (Q-lab Studio) is a huge stepping stone in Adrian’s career and opens many doors to him. Adrian spends the next 2 years mastering the art of synthesisers and samplers. His hard work finally pays off near the end of 2005, when his first productions finally see the light of day and he is officially introduced to a broader public. The fact that none other than Roger Sanchez himself requested that Adrian’s first production be licensed for the “Release Yourself vol. 5” compilation, is more than enough proof of his creative talent in the studio. More releases on renowned labels follow, such as “My Friend” licensed for “Map Dance”. Adrian also makes a name for himself in the remixing industry; “do you feel me” by Doruk Ozlen feat Beth Trollon,”take action”, “Liebe ist cool” (in Bed with Space Compilation), “Without you” by Kid Massive feat. Ljouma, “Clarity”, Shik Stylko, (Sebastian Krieg und Roman F) Real Basic Tracks Recordings, being but just a few of the tracks he has remixed. As Adrian’s producing connections are constantly broadening, he is becoming increasingly sought after as a DJ. DJ residency with one of Basel’s biggest in-party labels, “Pazzoide”, are important stepping stones and experiences he takes with him on his way to become an essential element within electronic music. The future looks bright, as Adrian has found a new home and family at UK based VVWI-Label by the end of 2007. With a backpack full of goodies such as his remix of „The Beginerz - Paperback sleaze“, own productions the deep and hypnotic „The way in“ & „The way out“ and collaborations with friend Eleminal „Fullness“ & „Norka“. Adrian Martin has landed the first international major ARTIST colaboration as a remixer for 2 times Grammy Award Winner FATMAN SCOOP. Creativity and endurance is Adrian’s qualification for longevity and the lead to further stunning releases to look forward to.
