About

For as long as he can remember, Adrian’s world has revolved around music. Spoon-fed a diet of everything from early Boogie Down Productions and jazz fusion artists to the Talking Heads and Devo. By 1996, that world was ruled with an iron fist by the sounds of Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and KMFDM. “My dad had turned me onto metal. Naturally from that, I stumbled upon EBM and industrial. I was in love with the electronic elements of that sound. The warped synths. The metallic stomp of the beats. It fascinated me. I’d never heard anything like it before. Hip-hop was stale, metal no longer held my interest. I started seeking out more and more music with electronic leanings. Little by little, the work of guys like Underworld, Murk and Peace Division started falling into my hands. I was blown away.”

In 2001, Adrian relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. “I’d plugged away through film school... slogged through complete hell to get my degree, but found myself spending all of my spare time buried in music. By the time I reached Hollywood, it clicked. I realized this is where I wanted to be. Where I had to be.” Adrian found himself immersed in a thriving underground community. Los Angeles was alive with the raw energy of dance music. “That’s what grabbed me... The intensity of it all. The way a great DJ could bend the crowd to his will, creating this pressure/release until the end of the night when the crowd would just erupt. I would always think: I’ve got to do that for myself, but I was reluctant to let go of film.” Over time, the scene would shape and prod him closer to his true calling. An infant film career began to simmer on the back burner. “I sat back one day and realized that most of my friends were either DJ’s, promoters or producers. All of my nights spent in some dark club listening to the music I loved. I realized I couldn’t live without it. I made up my mind then... this is what I wanted to do. Forever. And that’s it... It was done. I sold my soul.”

The last several years have seen Adrian hard at work perfecting his trademark sound. Driven by an unwavering desire to be the best, led by an evolving love affair with music. “My sound is dark and tough. If it doesn’t jump out of that speaker, I don’t play it.” Adrian is currently busy not only with his first productions but also a new monthly WILDLIFE! in downtown Los Angeles and DJ'ing/promoting for the white-hot pool series RECOVERY SUNDAYS that has taken Southern California by storm this summer.
