This Live version of "He Said Hello" was made at the Tucson Folk Festival in May of 2009 and features Mark Holdaway on the kalimba. Vimala wrote the words to this song in 1994 soon after her oldest brother died of AIDS. The music did not come until 2007 when she bought an acoustic guitar and began to relearn the how to play it. She hit an ambient chord and the song came to life. "He Said Hello" is dedicated to the memory of the mulitudes left behind. It is a song of love, loss and rebirth.
