@Fatt Jengo: This was originally made for the intro scene in a sci-fi Flash game called Genesis.
@Fatt Jengo: Thanks! The only real instruments are the guitars. Everything else is from the Kontakt 3 library. The drums are the standard rock kit that comes with Kontakt. I recorded this before I had a DAW: I programmed the drums on an old Roland PMA-5 and hooked that up via midi to a computer running a stand-alone version of Kontakt 3. I recorded the digital output on a Yamaha AW2816 Multitracker. Because I only had 16 tracks, I recorded the full kit as a stereo part on two tracks. Some of the other parts were recorded using an EWI controller with Kontakt. The nylon-stringed guitar and hand claps were recorded with a Shure KSM32 and a Studio Projects VTB1 preamp. I mixed in-the-box on the AW2816 and the mastered the stereo wave using Sound Forge 8.
I love the uninhibited nature of this track!
Sounds fun! The guitar here kinda reminds me of Alex Lifeson circa A Farewell to Kings.
Bravissimo!
Yes
@SHABAMZY: Thanks for the feedback man!
@Paul Adrian: Thanks! I really need to mix this better...
This makes me want to grab my guitar right now instead of going to work :D
What a fun track!
I dig the trumpets! Is this a sample pack you made or did you just play it? Sounds great :) To me, this is reminiscent of some of the music for the early Tomb Raider games. Excellent work (as usual) MS!
Man, you are a masterful rhythmatist. Love it!
Awesome! Reminds me of Trilok Gurtu.
WOW! This track is excellent! Especially like this part.
@Mihai Sorohan: Thanks!
I love that little pause... gave me goosebumps! Beautiful.
I like this sound!
