Achaziyah The Alien (Achaziyah Ben Israel) started producing and composing music at the age of 6. Starting out by singing noteable songs on the videogames he played around the house, and later writing manuscripts in his journal, and various arrangements of popular songs, fanfares, and anthems, it wasn't until he got his MacBook Pro in May 2010 that he immediately delved into the realm of music via multimedia. He trained himself on Garage Band, vowing to make a full length album using the software before he leveled up to Logic Express; his album only racked up 34 minutes, as he got impatient and bored with the Apple Loops Library. Eager to learn Logic Express, he buried himself in the instructions manual for two weeks, in the hot, cramped confines of a bedroom in his grandparents house.
He summarily started working on his first album, entitled "Heat Advisory," which is a brainchild and tribute to the stifling heat and humidity of the southern VA summer climate. He quickly moved to making more music, with his next big project being "Earth and Her Charms" which turned out to be a 2xCD album; it captures the essences of many values that us humans hold in high esteem on Earth: wealth, fame, hedonism, secrecy, and much more. His winter 2010-2011 album, "Retrospective Perspective", went under construction immediately after his first semester at Brown University. It was started and finished during winter break, and provided a quantum of solace for Achaziyah, as he reflected on his first semester of college. "Retrospective Perspective" proves to be the most emotional album ATA has created so far, and also serves as a shift in the creation of his music to the significantly more emotional. It's not like his previous music wasn't emotional, or was shallow, but his later music was composed specifically to capture stronger emotions, insight inspiration, provoke, and awaken the minds of its listeners. As for ATA himself, he continuallly strives to plunge further into the folds of his mind, challenging himself to learn and employ new techniques, and to also apply his knowledge acquired in college.
Achaziyah often reminisces of his times when he first explored the music he loves today, apart from the mainstream that has imposed itself as the foundation of worldly cultures, both American and non-American. It wasn't until he was 11 years old that he started to actually listen to music and discern it for what it really is. He started listening to the satellite radio stations on TV, constantly flipping back and forth between TV shows and the radio sations with pen and paper, and remote, in hand, ready to write down any good song he had heard so that he could refer back to it in the future. He eventually accumulated young books of papers that he managed to save until he acquired the means to obtain the songs he desired for many years. A three-year period encompassed his frenetic conquest of acquisition (2004-2007). Apart from romanticizing the artists and DJs that he had become to regularly listen to on the radio, he followed worldwide music conventions such as WMC Miami, Ultra Music Festival and Dancefloor FG. His favourite podcasts are David Vendetta's "Cosa Nostra", Sebastien Bennett's "House From Ibiza", Defected In The House, and Antoine Clamaran's "All Night Long". Achaziyah always said, if I was on a record label, it would be Ultra...as for now, his pick isn't that readily made.
Achaziyah maintains his ideals of house music and the underground movement. "True house music exudes pride, joy, and feeling. There is no hate in house music, and house music should always be the music of discovery, opulence, fun & folly, maturity, consciousness, and subtlety. The myriad subgenres of house music do a good job at depicting these ideals, as well as ones that I didn't mention..."
With a condenser mic being the next tool on the "to-get" list, ATA pushes forward to make his best efforts better, while experiencing life headfirst.
