Melancholic music For lovers of music with a deeper purpose
Moments of Silence is the sophomore release from Abstraction, focusing on lush melodies and field recordings. Evoking imagery of warm Summer fields and rocky beaches, Moments of Silence focuses purely on melodic ambiance.
Thank you so much, Soundcloud, for your help, support and suggestions while I created these songs!

@Syllix: Someone else had mentioned pencil scratching at one point and I can totally hear that. That's not what it is though! :)

kind of sounds like pencil sketching or writing in the background.... whatever it is, I like it a lot. I actually have pencil writing written down on a list of mine of things to record :)

@Mira Shvangiradze: It's actually a field recording of driving to work with my stereo set to an empty channel (later you can hear the clicks of my turn signal :)

This sounds like somebody is painting by pencil. :)

@Abstraction: Biosphere is an legend in ambient music. His album Substrata is one of the most fantastic sound experiences I've ever had I think: http://www.discogs.com/Biosphere-Substrata/master/23402

@fjern: I sent the final tracks off to a friend for mastering this morning. Need to finalize album art. I am hoping a digital release in a few weeks. A physical one (through cdbaby) in early December? :D

@fjern: I am not familiar with Biosphere, but I'll have to look 'em up! I've been getting so many recommendations of what this album sounds like; I'm finding many new bands :D

This is kind of what walking around in the mountain can feel like. Calm, reflective; it's a good feeling. The images of nature that at least I am seeing remind me of some of Biosphere's splendid material.

@Bee.eLL.luv: Thanks! I agree, it's good music to zen out to at times :)

@Julien Mier: It was almost an afterthought in production. The song seems incredibly boring without it now :)

@Bekah B: This is actually a very strong deviation from what I usually do. My old music was rather frenetic and didn't often stick on a certain thing for too long. Or otherwise the song would be 3 minutes long because I ran out of ideas. I'm trying really hard to let things progress slowly. I like your imagery!
