Ben Kelly, aka AboutFace, started DJing in 2005 in Maidstone's thriving underground scene under the name dOdek. He quickly progressed within the scene with his innovative style of mixing of loops with samplers, and gained a cult on line following with his RebelUnderground Vol's of mixes, which gained over 2000 downloads.

This let him to various high profile London gigs, and a successful residency for Lost Souls at the now infamous Toilet club in Shorditch, playing alongside artists such as Chris Liebing, Perc, Martin Butrich, Tim Green and many others. This was shortly followed by successful releases; "Wonk" on Italian minimal label Italo Business, and "Prism EP" on Spanish imprint Little Green Men after just 2 years of starting to produce music.

In 2008, a new Pseudonym was created, AboutFace, delving into his melodic and more experimental side, this was quickly picked up by and signed to the BBC's new incentive for the best up and coming musical talent. BBC introducing, resulting in radio plays for several of his unsigned tracks, and being named in the "best track of 2008" with his epic track Ricochet.

2009 saw his Aboutface EP "Ricochet" released on Davis and May's melodic imprint "Back Home", and artists such as James Holden, Ricardo Tobar and the Kompakt Label showing support for "Lurid" and "Ricochet".
