This morning on 702 ABC Sydney Mornings with Linda Mottram, political strategist Grahame Morris said "Leigh Sales can be a bit of a cow sometimes when she does interviews".
Grahame Morris later apologised after many complaints about his comments and Leigh Sales came on air later in the program to accept his apology.
Leigh Sales also discussed other sexist comments she has received after her interview with Tony Abbott last week.

@Democroscene: Perhaps Leigh is Kerry O'Brien's love child. She is certainly his worthy successor.

It was a superb interview by Leigh Sales and, to me, revealed what an easy ride Tony Abbott gets from much of the media with his loose grasp of the concept of truth. Leigh was respectful and let Mr Abbott speak without interruption - unlike many of her commercial counterparts. Abbott needed to be held accountable for his own words and actions; it is the job of a competent interviewer to take their subject to task when they evade, obfuscate and answer questions they weren't asked whilst not answering those that were. Tony Abbott's performance was extremely unconvincing but it was all his own doing because he was ill-prepared, his analysis was shallow and full of the usual slogans, and tainted by a not inconsiderable dose of flagrant hypocrisy. If Grahame Morris was shocked it's probably because Abbott's got away with it for so long and is finally started to get asked the hard questions he should have been all along. In conclusion - and again by way of comparison with much of the commercial media - Leigh is just as tough and rigorous in her interviewing of those on the other side of the political fence. Her interviews are about getting to the heart of the issue, not about stroking the prejudices of the host or their audience.

He says he has called lots of people a 'cow'? No doubt he has slandered many women with that term, but exactly how many men? If that's the benchmark of his ability as a political strategist they would be best to look for some fresh talent that is living in the 21C.
Please 702 do not invite that olde world chauvinist back as he does a disservice to your station. - Democroscene

Leigh Sales: I see how she got the 7.30 gig. Sharp as a tack, emotionally solid and lovely to behold. Great to see her rip into the Abbott. Let's hope her shining light shines the way for broadcasters everywhere...

What a grub Graham Morris is, he can't handle his llittle 'pet' Tony Abbott being made look the fool he is, especially by a competent woman interviewer
