About

Since discovering DJ Shadow's masterpiece 'Endtroducing' in high school, Aaron has been immersed in all aspects of dance music culture. Remixing and sampling the old, to make something new and exciting, was an idea that intrigued Aaron, sparking a passion for a range of different genres of electronic music, from trip hop, to drum and bass and breakbeat. Aaron eventually stumbled upon the smooth melodies of progressive house music in 2008 and decided to try his hand at mixing.
Aaron found his way into the Perth DJ scene through the Strike 3 DJ competition in 2009, which he was lucky enough to win. Taking out this competition gave Aaron the opportunity to cut his teeth at a number of different venues around Perth including Geisha Bar (Rouge), Bar Open, Sapphire Bar (Filthy Gorgeous) and The Cott (Sunday Sessions) to name a few.
In 2011, Aaron was welcomed into the Lucid Dreaming family, playing gigs at Defectors Bar (Fore) and The Velvet Lounge. The last 12 months has seen Aaron earn a residency at The Good Shepherd (Inception) and slots on the famous Lucid Dreaming boat parties. In March 2013, he was given the chance to support German producer Daniel Bortz on his debut Perth show, a definite highlight in Aaron's relatively short career.
Although Aaron's sound is constantly evolving through the various sub-genres of house music, he always aims to select deep, groovy and melodic tracks that incorporate elements of funk, soul, hip hop and dub. Aaron sees every DJ set as an opportunity to create something new, tracks blended together in harmony and in key, with the aim of making the dance floor move.
This month, Aaron will be jetting off to Bali with the Lucid Dreaming crew to take over the prestigious WooBar at W Retreat in Seminyak.
