DJ A.MAZE – Melbourne, Australia

DJ A.MAZE was drawn to Melbourne’s underground electronic dance culture in the late nineties. It was during this time that A.MAZE was fortunate enough to see a number of top Australian DJ’s at their beginnings. These included, Phil K, Brewster B, Mike Callander, Jono Fernandez, Jason Keltec, Nu Breed, Infusion, Pendulum and Nick Thayer and that’s only to name a few. It was his knack for distinguishing the different beats, samples and frequency’s that made his transition from listener to creator the next logical step.

While appreciating many genres of electronic music DJ A.MAZE focuses his efforts creating original beats/sounds and tracks generally landing within the Dub Step, Electro, Breaks, Progressive, House, Dutch House and Tech genres. It is fundamental to A.MAZE that all his productions are original which sometimes make categorizing the style of a song tricky but it is this fusion that gives DJ A.MAZE his individual sound. While inspired by many local acts and more recently members of the SoundCloud Community A.MAZE continues to support International artists such as Rennie Pilgrem, Plump Djs, Stanton Warriors, Deadmau5 and Pendulum.

After making his transition to DJing at the beginning of the year A.MAZE has played at a number of private parties and events. He teamed up with The Symphonix to rock the crowd at Melbourne’s largest nightclub, hexagon shaped Neverland. A.MAZE is now concentrating on producing his music as well as furthering his DJ career.
