Born the son of a professional boxer Carlos Lee Bates, A.I. was destined to have a fighting work conscience. At the age of 6, he discovered a love for music in beat boxing, that would move on with him until his high school years, and adapt into something more.
It was his freshman year of high school, when a friend named slim introduced him into the actual process of recording an actual beat on a keyboard. "We started trying to put different beats together and it instantly drew an inters with me. I remember in school. They would have different cyphers and I was always the beat box man" says Bates. He and his cousin began to rap and do songs over the beats that he had come up with, and that landed him his first gig, creating the beats for the announcements at his high school.
Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Pharrel, Dr. Dre, Prince, and Kanye West, have long inspired him since his high school days. Today, he has successfully launced a recording label entitled CUTBOXXX ENT. A.I. is in engaged in the many talents that were produced through CutboXXX Ent. Such as; Dae Dae, I.C.E.M.A.N, P Gunna, Skyllz B, C.U.C. and himself. A.I. has collectively produced four consecutive CD�s; S?Rtification, Skyllz B "Lyrical Perspective", P Gunna "Killer Instinct", and I.C.E.M.A.N. "1st Impression". Not only has he produced his own artist, but he has also produced a few of the leading Radio personalitys intros for the only hip hop and R and B station in Indianapolis, WHHH Hot 96.3.
His aristocratic sound as well as accomplishments has gotten him noticed by one of the recording label giants, but that still isnt enough. As an Artificial Intelligence inhabitant, his main goal is to have total music domination in the near future!
