Yes it is I, Lottie, the curse of Millhaven - I've struck horror in the heart of this town
Like my eyes ain't green and my hair ain't yellow
It's more like the other way around
Off to the asylum in an old black Mariah
It ain't home, but you know, it's fucking better than jail
It ain't such a bad old place to have a home in
So it's Rorschach and Prozac and everything is groovy(Nick Cave "The Curse of Millhaven")

@VirtualUnknown: thanks listening & commenting. Yes it is quite some work, as most sounds are recorded from old synths & drum machines and then arranged & chopped in the computer. But it is great fun, hopefully it translates to the listener, too!

great tune. listening to it over and over. voices sound so great - nice and clear. how do you do that? wickeed!
- SCHMUCKFENSTER on August 13, 2009 16:38
Hi & thanks for your comments. Voices were actually recorded on a handheld, probably a bit de-noised and then 'compressed the shit out of'; AFTER that some reverb & delay (all ITB). The 'spooky' effect at the begginning is made with a free plugin from SSL (they have a few freebies which all are a must, can be found at their website)ee their website)
- SCHMUCKFENSTER on August 13, 2009 16:40
oh, and what i forgot: catch the woman you want to record in a stroppy mood and ask her to say shitty things. Their voices never sound better ;-))

Through endless twilights I dreamed and waited, though I knew not what I waited for. Then in the shadowy solitude my longing for light grew so frantic that I could rest no more, and I lifted entreating hands to the single black ruined tower that reached above the forest into the unknown outer sky.
