    1. Golden Funk
    2. Cirkus Arts
    3. Feel Like Disco

Boogie Basics jumps forward with a slamming new release from Belgian duo Furniture Crew. The crew is made up of Guy Vercruysse (DJ Cute), Flo, and Denneb Vervaeke who met and joined forces in 2005, subsequently releasing tunes for labels like Next Dimension Music, Kinjo, and Footwear. Furniture Crew is heavily influenced by jackin’, soulful, and funky deep house music, a preference that is evident in this latest release, the White Clusters EP. The EP is led with “Golden Funk, an appealing amalgamation of elements including tough, skippy beats, an acidic bass line, soulful vocal drops, techno stabs, and even a funky flute line. “Cirkus Arts” is next, flaunting a punchy low end mixed with solid dance floor beats and rhythmic female vocal phrases. Though firmly four-on-thr-floor, this track is funky enough to fit in breakbeat sets. Finally there’s “Feel Like Disco” showcasing the Furniture Crew’s love of disco mixed with some classic acid house sounds and an assortment of retro vocal samples. Three definite nightclub stompers here … this EP from Boogie Basics and Furniture Crew is a definite prime time contender.

    Demarkus Lewis - “Hot!”
Diz (Vizual / Classic) - “Thumpy with a bit of hop to it … just like I like my boogie. Respect!”
Justin Harris (Freaks) - “This is a dope EP. Fresh shizzle!”
Tyree Cooper - “Nice DJ tools to work with … I’m feeling this EP.”
Hippie Torrales - “There’s a funky little groove on these tunes.”

Christos Kedras (Kapa Music) - “Nice package. ‘Cirkus Arts’ is my pick. I’m feeling the chunky beats and the overall punch … great energy.”
SimonG (Deep South Audio) - “Most excellent .. these guys are making some serious waves in the funky scene and this release just adds more weight to their name.”
DJ Nova (Rodon FM, Greece) - “Dope! The whole EP is dance floor dynamite! One of the best releases that I’ve heard this year. Acid, disco, jackin’, funk, and strong beats connected perfectly.”
