SPOTLIGHT EP - 8bit.
After his successful "Mothership EP" debut release in early 2012, Santés ‘Spotlight’ EP brings about a slightly new style from the Berlin based DJ, with "Spotlight’ taking on a definite shift towards the house and tech-house end of the music spectrum.
The first track ‘The Way’, maintains a steady beat of high-hats to keep you moving, while the uplifting piano pulse and soothing male vocals give it that warming, soulful feel.
‘Spotlight’ adds a sturdy dose of bass to pick things up as you move through the EP. Again, the spoken male vocals amplify the drama and compliment the drops in the track.
Finally, the solid pace of electronic drum beats in ‘Blended’ make it the track from the EP to really get you moving. It’s the perfect last track, with rewarding drops and a decent underground club vibe. An EP with a satisfying build up throughout.
