Two new instruments on the block here - Yamaha RX21 Drum Machine - midied of course to the CX5M - and a cheap old record deck to do the vinyl scratching on. I loved the early Hip Hop and Electro music and this influenced me to briefly try my hand at scratching - even if it was on a Stringray Audio Single! Overdubbing scratching was something I try here, plus mixing scratching with synth and computer music. Other instruments to spot here are the ever present Korg MS20 and that famous Casio VL Tone rhythm pattern. The Tascam 244 Portastudio allowed the usual delay send and reverse tape / tape-speed fiddling.
