About

5321 Studio is about creating and mixing all forms of sounds and samples, found or made, acoustically or digitally. I am especially interested in combinational notions like a harmonica through digital effects or synthetic drums miked via analogue techniques.

The music needs to have some form of “vibe” to it and I am less interested in classification or genres although the influences that seems to crop up the most are a combination of old Wax Trax recordings, Ambient notions like Eno, 60s/70’s guitar tones, and 70’s funk pushed through a modern framework or what used to be called “dance music”. Originality trumps formulaic but sometimes formulaic is fun to bob your head to as well.

Most everything is played in the studio from old to new with little interest in how cool, how real, how hard, how commercial, how indie. Good music is good music and the only thing musically more fantastic than watching someone create their craft live, is the act of creating yourself.

If you have this mindset please do not hesitate to contact the studio for digital collaboration.
