About

4 bonjour's parties is a sprawling indie band from Tokyo.

Their songs are elaborate cavalcades that feature everything from traditional rock instrumentation to wind / brass instruments, glockenspiel, accordion and a sprinkling of samplers and synthesizers.

Formed in the suburbs of Tokyo in 2001.

In 2005, they toured Australia, selling out of their demo CD-Rs. During the tour, they met Clue to Kalo, which led to a release of their debut album "Pigments drift down to the brook" on Mush Records (US) and & & records (Japan) in 2007.

In 2007, they embarked on their first tour of Japan, joined by Lymbyc System (US) and Boy in Static (US). They also toured Japan and performed at Formoz Festival in Taiwan with Her Space Holiday (US) from 2007 to 2008, as well as acting as the Her Space Holiday backing band.

They had great success touring Australia again in 2009 with Her Space Holiday, featuring a spot at the Perth International Arts Festival, as well as shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

In 2010, French Blogotheque filmed a 4 bonjour's parties performance around Shibuya, Tokyo for their renowned Take Away Show series.
