About
I was raised by a single mom in the culturally rich town of West Chester, PA. I first got into Hip Hop when I was 7. It was the early 80's and the best time ever to be a kid. Parachute pants, fat laces and the knock off Michael Jackson Zipper Coat to mix it up. Adidas was everything, Power 99 kept the beats coming and Madonna was "Desperately Seeking Susan". Music was now seen and heard, ya know, back when MTV actually played music videos. Back when Star Wars, Beat Street and Barry Gordies Last Dragon were my favorite movies. Being a straight shot from Philly, West Chester was easily influenced by the emerging Hip Hop scene coming outta all the surrounding cities. So by 8, I was an aspiring breakdancer and by 10, I was writting shitty graffiti tags on anything I could. By the ripe age of 13, I started making my first mix tapes. Old school style with tape decks, my moms record player and a Realistic Radio Shack Mixer. Start, Stop, Pause, Record. Even got into cuttin tape to make my own loops. This eventually progressed into an obsession for sounds that lead me to start creating music myself. Starting with turntables, moving to hardware and eventually to the PC, I have been a DJ and producing music for almost 20 years now. I got blessed at the age of 16 and on a whim, I was flown out to Sydney, Australlia for my dads wedding. It was there that I experienced my first rave on a NYE not to be forgotten. That experience inspired me to become an underground DJ spinning anything electronic. Starting with Orbital and EON and moving on to Goldie and LTJ Bukem. Once I found jungle, which evolved into drum and bass, I found my calling for the turntables. Drum and Bass took me so many places and I have met so many good people through it. I know I accomplished a personal goal, in turn, I almost feel like I lived a dream. Sample based electronic music has been my essence for over 25 years. Simply put, music has never let me down. I feel it's important to convey a message or a certain feeling in order to achieve an emotional response in the listener. I have heard too many songs and mixes that make you feel like the artist was reading your mind when they made it. Plus it's kinda easy to pour your soul into something you are passionate about. I try to make sure there is a message in everything I do musically. I feel like music is the oldest language on the planet and alot of people speak it alot more fluently then they realize. So basically just to sum it up - I am an artist trying to be seen and heard.
