like this break
nice! one of Ocean's best songs :) I sampled this one before too
never mind, DL is disabled. too bad.
chillar! downloading.
Thank goodness. I've been listening to only Quasimoto n Madlib when taking showers lately. Unseen and Future Adventures. Madlib, do some shrooms again. Please. That is where the Stone's Throw magic's at
raw transition, we need more rawness
bondhc chuk ubb chuk!
7 /\ P 3 dayz
rice & beans! the poor man dish. i know this 1st hand. first hand. oh this beat is crackle raw. i'm like this some times. kind of reminds me of some delofi stuff : )
its noisy here ... i want one of those horns but maybe not ... they stress me out ... but they are really toony which is fun in small doses perhaps ... that voice has drugs in em ... im scared
beats in a c/\n!
the rap is fitting to. prog psyche rock rap. oh there I go catting shit again! fuck cats.
this is promising in terms of the instrumentation goes.
The most revolutionary thing to come out on ST was Quasimoto. That was Psilocybin induced from what I hear. Madlib got genius on those releases. Really cartoony, created a whole world on its own. More releases on that quantum leap level is what's needed. When an artist kind of creates their own reality of characters. That is beyonder shit.
thats one big ole band. soldschool. i guess its impressive they have figured out how to sound almost exactly like Augustus Pablo, Lee Scratch Perry. I'm not surprised to see Stones Throw (egon & PB wolf) release this band. Fills in that dub void. What else is there? Will Stones Throw continue to be a throw back label? Is it unimpressive to be a throw back label? No and yes. It's hip to do that. It's a vacation from all the modern producer clean sound that dominates pop & even under ground culture. Is it revolutionary though? Not really.
32nd hi hats on a slow beat like this is a proper choice
your dub step tripped
classik! & I love the up and down hand made sequence with the bendy tweek out at the end : ) Overall vibe is trancefunkendental... .
good luck.
im in a 50s comic book vs the Nazis
@martinmillar: this is cool. i can see a city scape. tron like.
@3ax3yth: you have to be happy with it is all that matters
that computronic electricty sound bugs me out a bit but whatever
this beat is like jumping , so weird but interesting
This part is interesting. the beat makes you go back and forth
@NodeEndo: you comment on all the awkward parts haha
@NodeEndo: well its just about experimenting. why not just master doing it live and not worry about recording it? it takes practice to know when to bring shit in and out. i like when more than one track gets brought in and droppped out.
hahah its like a dog barking behind a thin concrete wall!
@NodeEndo: this part is awkward cause everything drops out. who cares though. you might loose some listeners though. fuck em.
siren sounds less police like, more gamey. nice it comes in for a bit and then leaves.
yeah its dancy
good intro for the bass. easy to digest.
also i like the hi pitched hollow glass reverb hit and also the low version that happens after
strange use of the hihat happening on the kick drum. usually the hi hats happen in the spaces between the kick drums, the up beat. but this is kind of cool
second time beat drop, now some one can dance to it. its got the usual 4/4.
the first time the beat drops it sounds like it starts off on the wrong beat. the second time the beat drops it sounds proper. this here is a cartoon juggernaut duck beat.
siren should happen only 50% of the time. nobody wants to hear that. makes it too annoying
) O P 3 !
sounding like Oxbow Lakes around here, chord prograssion wise, even the slight piano string sound
how did you do those elephant sounds?
